PRECAUTIONS FOR USING MARBLE

As you well know, marble is a natural stone and as such has no protection from chemical and atmospheric agents. The surfaces used for our tables are all treated with stain-resistant wax and anti-drop to avoid that ugly and yellowish plastic protection that takes away the beautiful sensation we have when touching it. However, like all natural treatments, you must pay attention to its use and maintenance. We will briefly explain what the damaging agents are and the treatments to be carried out to always have a table in perfect condition.

How to Clean Marble

Marbles must never be cleaned with ANY CHEMICAL DETERGENT which, having aggressive properties on the surface of the marble top, removes the protection we give on it (antidrop and wax) and can make it capable of absorbing any liquid and becoming opaque. Marble must be cleaned only with water and alcohol (the pink one). It is also advisable to repeat a protective treatment periodically (depending on the use of the table maximum 1 year) with a common wax for marble (also purchasable in hardware stores) to keep it shiny and protected.

Products to pay attention to

Wine, Sparkling Wine, Fruit Juices, Coffee, Lemon, Orange, Vinegar, Coca Cola, Oil, Tomato and others. In practice, they are all products containing natural or chemical acids that can corrode the wax protection and stain the marble (sometimes even irreparably). Therefore, we always recommend using glasses or placemats to ensure that these do not come into contact with the top. If the above should come into contact, we recommend cleaning (following the paragraph HOW TO CLEAN MARBLE) within 5 minutes of pouring the liquid on the top at the latest and re-treating the marble as soon as possible to prevent corrosive liquid from being poured again in the same position where the stain was created and permanently damaging the marble.

How to clean laminate

Laminate is a wood that is very resistant to scratches, but we recommend cleaning it by soaking a sponge cloth in simple warm water or alcohol (pink)
