Founded in 1962, the GRANDSOLEIL brand, a historic brand active in the production of garden furniture, leisure, open space and outdoor toys, is a reality known throughout the world, which since 2005 has belonged to the Italian company IGAP spa owned by the Pezzi family. GRANDSOLEIL has been operating throughout Europe for more than 60 years and can boast the main European furniture distribution groups and chains among its customers. The IGAP spa company chooses to preserve traditional productions alongside new product proposals such as new ranges of products and new innovative materials also for indoor furnishings. Quality and elegance have always distinguished GRANDSOLEIL products, classic and modern, capable of responding to market needs. IGAP Grandsoleil products are an embodiment of the Made in Italy spirit, which is reflected in the quality, safety and aesthetics of the various outdoor furniture, scrupulously tested in the factories in Canneto sull'Oglio, in the province of Mantua.

Mission

The passage of GRANDSOLEIL to IGAP Spa represented a turning point for the production unit, which needed to be restructured and reorganized internally. A fundamental process to consolidate the uniqueness of the brand, reaffirm its past and give impetus to the future. In the second half of 2008 IGAP launched an important investment plan in Canneto sull'Oglio, aimed at repositioning the brand based on a new mission, which combines engineering innovation with the emblematic design of the GRANDSOLEIL brand.

Production and know-how

Relying on the skills in the manufacturing world and the relevant production potential, GRANDSOLEIL has chosen to adopt two directions of travel for the future developments of the operational unit. From the point of view of innovative technopolymers, it has introduced polycarbonate, as well as new types of polypropylene-based technopolymers, into the volume production of chairs and tables.
