Losa Legnami was founded in 1950 in Caprino Bergamasco as a sole proprietorship of Losa Augusto, whose sector of activity was deforestation work and wholesale of firewood . In 1958 he began the sawmill work which continued until 1962 when the move to Mapello took place. In 1965, ARTILO LEGNAMI SAS was established, operating mainly in the field of the initial transformation of wood for the construction of roofs and the sale of boards.

In 1980 the company transformed into LOSA LEGNAMI SPA and in 1998 the management passed into the hands of the new LOSA generation , in particular Renato and Marisa Losa , who succeeded their father AUGUSTO.

Towards the end of 1997, the perception that the wood market was progressively heading towards a decline , mainly caused by a rather drastic halt in demand for solid wood by large industries (furniture factories, turning shops), pushed the company to rediscover the wooden roof a little forgotten and looking for new product lines.

The profound knowledge of the subject and the ability to constantly adapt to new market needs have meant that the processing and marketing of wooden roof beams and related roofing packages has been strengthened, returning with great force to the market , both for homes and for large structures such as gyms , warehouses and any other construction with large light spaces . New product lines have been introduced, always focused on wood, such as parquet , garden furniture , autoclave-impregnated material , prefabricated houses , etc.

All this has been combined with a new study, design and installation service offered to customers, important elements which have allowed LOSA LEGNAMI to position itself admirably on new markets too.

From our long experience in a special world like that of wood , the "Esterni da Vivere" brand was born, designed to offer many proposals dedicated to the garden and outdoor spaces : tool sheds, autoclave-impregnated poles , pergolas , gazebos and all the accessories that can be useful for furnishing and making outdoor spaces welcoming and functional
